From Amazon.com Kintaro Oe, a 25-year-old dropout from Tokyo University Law School, bicycles around Japan "learning about life" like an Asian Along Came Bronson. He takes various part-time jobs, surprising everyone by excelling at everything he does, despite his goofy demeanor. He's lucky he's a quick study, as he spends most of his time ogling pretty women, cleaning toilets, and getting beat up. In this six-part 1995 OAV, he writes code at a software company, helps a corrupt mayor get re-elected, and learns to make noodles by hand. The animation is often sloppy--Kintaro changes appearance frequently--and the artists clearly concentrated on the bouncing breasts and jiggling derrières. Kintaro is a good-hearted and generally agreeable goof, but the slight plots and leering humor of this series will quickly bore anyone but a lecherous adolescent. As Kintaro's enthusiasm is matched only by his libido, it's all very silly and often crass, with his visceral reactions digitally disguised. He's an adult now it's time for him to grow up and face reality. Golden Boy may be old which was made back in 1995 but I still like it. rated 17 up: nudity, violence, profanity, sexual and toilet humor "Very Funny I say, but also perverted." I had no idea how funny it was, I couldn't stop laughing. I like episode 2 and 3. The others are just [...]. Kintaro has the perfect english voice over. Even though he yells too much and has a nasty mind. Some of the women he runs into are just crazy. whats the deal with the chick and her beamo? ( motorcycle) or what ever she calls it. I think kintaro needed to put her in check. Other than that its good. "Amos Please:)" Three words OH MY GOD! This dvd was one of the most funniest anime of all time. My rating of this anime is a 4 and a 1/2. GO BUY THIS AT BEST BUY for 13.99. Later guys. "If you don't know about Golden Boy... Than your an Idiot!" I love this Anime. This is one that you should have in your collection no matter who you are. The Humor is abit Raw but You just can't help but laugh at it. The Voise Actor ( Doug Smith )was perfect. If you love anime this is One OVA seris you can't overlook. The art comes stright from the Manga, even though some poeple say that the animation isn't realistic, It's just like what Kintaro says (Episode6) " You can do anything with animation that you can't do with live action films, Thats what makes animation so cool." So with that I leave you. Watch this it will change your look on life. STUDY!!!! "You'd Be Golden Too" Simply an amazing show (at least for the nice guy who always gets overlooked) This show is a laugh out loud smash. It may only be six episodes long, but they're terrific. I could praise this show all day, but it's just that good to say the least. I wish not to spoil it with details for all those interested in it. I'll admit though that it's not for everyone, but definitely for those who don't mind a good anime or a good laugh. You'll be golden after watching this.
