"Very cool Pokemon movie!" Wow! Such a good movie! You could watch this before watching the first Pokemon movie and not get confused. I like the full story of Mewtwo's origin! You are never too old for Pokemon! "Direct to video excellence" Mewtwo Returns is a very good movie that surprised me more than I expected. The idea is that Mewtwo is basically living his life with the clones in peace. Meanwhile Ash and the gang (who don't remember the origional encounter with MEwtwo) accidently stumble upon his lair after Team Rocket captures Pikachu again. Meanwhile Teamrocket leader Giovanni has discovered Mewtwo lair and wants to capture him once again. Mewtwo is currently in a Moral dilema because on the one hand he wants to battle Giovanni, but he also has grown to care about the clones. Eventually with the help of Ash he battles Giovanni and begins to understand himself. MEwtwo Returns is another reason why the Pokemon Movies should not be overlooked. In fact I believe that it should of been in theaters instead of the third movie. However it went direct to video and was overlooked. So it should definetly be looked into. It is definetly a good watch. "Huzzah! Mewtwo is back!" This DVD RULES! The animation for the unedited "Story of Mewtwo's Origon" (Myuutsu to Ai) was great! It was smooth, and not as choppy as the show has gotten. And the storyline was deep. Very poignant, and even sad. The kiddies might not understand it fully and things may need to be explained, so a dedicated fan such as myself, may need to be on-hand to translate. The main movie was very well-written, and the voice acting was so much better. They finally got around to getting a better voice-actor for Mewtwo. I really don't want to reveal the plot like so many have done, but it was deep as well. This movie showed Team Rocket at their best (or worst, however you wanna look at it.). The organization went from a mere annoyance to an unstoppable army. Giovanni is portrayed the best in this movie. He's ruthless and will stop at nothing to get his goal, a normal man with a merciless mafia at his disposal. The ultimate villian. Quoth Brock, "Oh, Domino!" Domino, the sadistic, unlikable witch with a capital B is my personal fave Team Rocket member. She is what Team Rocket should be, cold and efficient. Not that I'm saying that Jessie and James are idiots. Don't get me wrong, I like Jessie and James. In fact, they're the only reason I still watch the show! But Domino is someone I would like to see make a reappearence in either the shows or any of the later movies. All in all, this would make a great addition to anyone's Pokemon video collection. The latest installment in the Mewtwo Saga is, personally, better than the first movie. Though, it often seems that way with Sagas. The second is usually the best. QuickMan out. ~A review by the Red Racer~ "Mewtwo's Back!!!!" In this movie, Mewtwo returns Mewtwo is back!!!!! Of course you should know that. Well This movie takes place in the Johto League Champions, and Ash, Misty, and Brock all try to catch a bus to a moutain place I forgot the name. But they fail, which happened to be a good thing because the strong wind causes the bus to get of track and start spinning, but then Mewtwo who happens to be hidding in the Moutains, saves them claiming he only did it so that the humans would not find them. All the clones he made and him, but the mewoth and pikachue clones don't beilive him saying that he really cares for the humans. Soon Ash Misty and Brock find themselfs staying in this cabin, when Team Rocket comes and actually steals pikachu and thanks to the wind once more heads towards the moutains, now they have to go up to the moutains where Mewtwo is staying. Will they meet once more is the question? "What happened after the 1st movie" The first movie ended interestingly. mewtwo simply flies away. that ending s*****. Mewtwo is my favorite video game charecter. I kick a** in Super Smash Bros. Meele with him. But this DVD is great. I love it. It is actually a very sad movie. The review is that Mewtwo founded an island where he and his clones can be happy. Giovani comes and tries to capture Mewtwo, Ash saves Mewtwo and Mewtwo relises it is OK that he wasn't born of this earth. Thats all you are gonna get but it is a very sad movie. Buy this DVD if you like anime, Pokemon, or kick *** in Super Smash Bros. MEELE with Mewtwo. |
