"BAD" I don't know how all these reviewers are saying this is a 5 star. I've seen a lot of anime and this is the ONLY one I ever watched that has put me to sleep. I mean every time. Took 6 tries to finish it... The first fight scene with that cheesy music just sets the tone... Please do yourself a favor and get ninja scroll. "A true masterpiece-all of the Yotoden chronicles in one!" Wrath of the Ninja is an amazing movie, it's all three parts of Yotoden crammed into a single feature, but with a few parts edited out. However, there is one thing that simply MUST be taken into account. The English dubbing in this film is (say it with me) HORRIBLE! In fact, this may the worst dub I have heard...EVER! I watched it On Demand, and immediately saw vibrant artwork and beautiful battles right before my eyes. However, it was painful to watch it all the way through in one sitting because of the (say it with me again) HORRIBLE English dub track. In spite of that MAJOR flaw, Wrath of the Ninja is a well-compiled edition of the three Yotoden chronicles, and it's a damn good thing it's on DVD now, because the VHS tape of this movie was only available in English. And as I have said, the dubbing is (say it with me once more) HORRIBLE! In spite of that, I highly recommend it, just turn on the subtitles and the Japanese dialogue. "GREAT MOVIE...if you can play it..." "Wrath of the Ninja" is an unforgettable anime with well-drawn animation, creepy monsters, exciting fight scenes and a terrific music score...but what is with this crazy disc? I've tried two copies and I've had the exact same problems with both. My old Toshiba SD-2109 gives me a "DISC ERROR" message and refuses to play the movie at all. My brand new Panasonic DVD-S47 plays the movie up to Chapter 4, then starts pixelating all over the place. On my computer the disc plays flawlessly. So is this disc goofy, or are my players goofy? Am I the ONLY person who's had trouble with this disc? It seems that way, judging by all the other reviews here. 5 stars for the movie; but only 1 star for the disc. ...Oh well, at least I can watch it on my computer screen... "it needs more nudity" According to legends, three mystical weapons have been left in the possession of three shadow ninja clans. When these weapons come together, the power to vanquish great evil will be attained. Ayame is the sole survivor of the Kasumi Ninja Clan. She bears one of the legendary weapons -- an enchanted short sword that had been with her clan for ages. You'll have to watch to fine out. "Lacking." This was really a bad movie. It really lacks plot. In fact it doesn't make any sense at all. I'm glad I only rented it. |
