The characters and backgrounds look superb and are very well done. The voice acting is pretty good, Martin Burke's Sonic was fine but got a little irritatting toward the end,Lianie Frasier's Tails voice was incredibly annoying, but Bill Wise as Knuckles was the best of all. Knuckles sounded good and was my favorite. The action was great and it served up alot of great scenes. A little sexual innudeo here and there but it was still very good.SEE IT NOW!!!!!!!Sonic rules!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!The Movie rules!!!!Highly reccomended. And the movie also knows how not to overstay its welcome. At 60 minutes it delivers its goods and gets out leaving us wanting more. "Sonic is delicious" Ever had a Sonic burger????? (lol)(bad humor) "Avoid the English Dub. After that..." I am a long-time fan of Sonic, ever since the Genesis games. I followed the Sonic Archie comic for years, but I finally stopped when it got too far out there and boring. (Hey, Eggman was gone for about two years in the comic!) I've started to get back into Sonic because of and in spite of SA2B, which I found to be a game with a few really fun levels and a lot of boring junk otherwise. I'm telling you this to let you know that I am very familiar with Sonic. I originally bought this (which is not actually a movie, but two "episodes") in English-dubbed VHS. Thus, I was forced to suffer from Sonic's Felix the Cat impersonation; also, I hope Tails gets over his cold. The dub informed me of something I did not know: apparently, Eggman has some German or Russian in him, as it seems from his voice. As for the action, Sonic's running and jumping sequences were great. I was glad to see just Sega characters (except for the two other Overlanders), since I've spent years seeing the contrived Archie/SatAM characters in print. Also, it was cool to see Knuckles wearing Hawking's hat (fans of the Archie comic know what I'm talking about), but his character was still completely messed up. A treasure-hunter? Oh, please! Knuckles is the Guardian of the Floating Island, sworn to protect it and the Chaos Emerald from threats coming from afar as well as those from within, or something like that. I recommend this anime in the Japanese DVD version only. The English dubbing is really bad. "read this if your a SONIC FREAK" ok if your a SONIC FREAK then you'll love this movie well even if you weren't a SONIC FREAK you have to like this movie. I have this movie and i wouldn't get bored watching it a millian times. Anyone that says its not great.......there wrong. its a fact!!!! "This is a cool movie!!" I think this a great movie!I rented The movie and thinking of ordering it.But,the voices are not right.this is a really funny movie.I agree with one person,anyone who think this is a great movie...they`re wrong
