"Around five times better than the first movie..."
After reading several reviews about the original Japanese version, I learned that this movie was a LOT better than Mewtwo Strikes Back. I agree with them. This had more of a plot to it and it seemed much more adventure-some. Again, 4Kids re-composed the music for the English version, and after listening to some of the Japanese soundtrack, I'll have to say that I like the English score better than the Japanese one.

Although they didn't state the collector's name in the movie (which is Lawrence III), he is the typical villain. Out to get what he wants, using any needs neccesary, not caring what happens to anybody else.

This is a VERY good movie. Even those who aren't fans of Pokémon should really enjoy this movie!

"A VERY GREAT MOVIE!"
I LOVE this movie!

It starts off with the OVA: "Pikachu's Rescue Adventure". While Ash and friends take a short nap, Togepi see's some new Pokemon named Ladyba, and wanders off in curiousity. As a result: it trips, rolls down a hill, Pikachu and all of our hero's smaller sized Pokemon, chase after Togepi. Togepi ends up rolling down a hole under a humongous tree. Pikachu and other Pokemon watch in horror. But Psyduck is a minute to late, and can't stop running, it crashes into everyone, and everyone has a painful, long, bouncy, way down. Then they reach the end, and are about to land very heavily on the ground to a certain doom. But... the same group of Ladyba that Togepi saw, catches them, and they view where they are. Pokemon Valley. It is beautiful, and pretty and all Pokemon live peaceful there. Weak and strong, rare and common, smart and dumb. They are bound to have a good day, while at the same time, get Togepi back, and get back before their Trainers awaken, but a mix up with some Exegcutes, and a humongous and dangerous storm just may prevent that...

Then, it was on to the main feature film. We see three islands. Each belonging to either, Moltres, Zapdos, or Articuno. We then see a humongous advanced ship. We see the person inside it. His name is Jirarudan. He is a collector. And he wants the best collection yet... having gone through Religious material, he was able to find an old Revelation. And has a copy of it. It go's like this: "Disturb not the harmony Of fire ice or lightning, Lest these titans wreak destruction Upon the world in which they clash Though the water's great guardian Shall arise to quell the fighting, Alone its song will fail, Thus the world shal turn to ash/Ash Into thine hands Bring together all three The treasures combined Tame the beast of the sea From the trio of islands, Ancient spheres shall you take For between life and death, All the difference you'll make. Climb to the shrine To right what is wrong And the world will be healed By the guardian song." Jirarudan believes the ancient Religious Revelation, and has been able to discover that the Titans are the Legendary Birds. So, he starts his attack. He freezes over Fire Island, soon Moltres attacks! He shoots out electric rings which encage it, and Moltres is brought to his ship. Now he needs 2 more, Zapdos and Articuno. Then doing so will summon what he TRULY wants- the ancient guardian, Lugia. What will happen now? Ash gets involved in the Legend by accident while at an ancient ceremony with everyone, after a crash landing on the island. Now the world needs HIM to get the three ancient spheres. But things are going for the worse... what will happen... will Jirarudan get all the birds first, or will Ash get the spheres first? But even after, what if the three Birds go out of control and try to stop Ash, and what if Lugia is no match for them, or even worse, what if Jirarudan aims at Lugia? It will be hard for Ash to fulfill his role in the prophecy, but with the help of, Pikachu, Lugia, Misty, Melody, Tracey, and TEAM ROCKET!? He may be able too fulfill his role in... "The Power Of One"

GREAT MOVIE! And I recommend it to all Pokemon anime fans! ^_^

"Better than the first!"
This movie was way better than the first! I think that Lugia is the 2nd best and cutest pokemon! (Mew being the first)! I may be 13 and a little old to see it, but I LOVE Pokemon! I already saw it twice and plan on seeing it once more and when it comes out on video I will buy it the first thing! I like Tracy more than Brock and his pokemon are neat! I like how Ash's pokemon (even Charizard) had faith in him and he wouldn't give up! It was cyte how Misty told Melody her feeling's for Ash and I hope he finds out and it goes Further!

"A 13 Year Old Who Saw Pokemon2000"
I loved it! This movie was way better than the first. and I loved getting Ancient Mew. I especially liked the part where Misty gives all those signs that she likes Ash. When Ash, Misty, Jessie, James, and Meowth were talking about ' Oppisite Sex' It was funny. Jessie:*to Misty* ...whatever you do, don't trust the opposite sex. * I gasped at this* James:That's one aspect I've managed to keep away from... Meowth:Well, you two may not trust the opposite sex but, hey, ya have each other. Jess/James:What do you mean?! * I started laughing. Another quote I liked: Jessie:For once we're good guys. James:That's good. Meowth:What if the boss finds out? James:That's bad. Jessie:Then we'll start our own team of good guys! James:That's good! Meowth:But we have no cash. James:That's bad. Jessie:We can steal some. James: That's good...or is that bad? If you haven't seen it yet, see it know!

"My nine year old loved this movie."
Hard to take if you are an adult, but fantastic if you are a nine-year old Pokemon fanatic. Animation quality - low. Take your kid to see this if, and only if, they like the TV show.
