"yaoi's best"
I have never before read a yaoi manga or watched a yaoi anime. But I have to say that I was really impressed with Fake. I was intrigued by the cover of the DVD and decided to chance it. Fake will now be a permanent memeber of my collection. Even if homosexuality is not your thing, Fake is worth a look. It treats shonen ai with care and a GREAT deal of humor. The art is fantastic and the voice casting is wonderful (the NA cast isn't bad either). Seki Tomokazu plays Dee. You'd remember his voice if you are a fan of Fushigi Yuugi (Chichiri/Kouji), X (Kamui), or Evangelion (Touji). Check this OVA out! It's worth the money.

"A Crooked Comedy"
I found this story very amusing. I have never read the manga based on this story but the plot was still easily understandable. I found the anime clever and its staying in my collection for good. The DVD doesn't have any interesting extra's besides dialoge switching. Nothings perfect.

"completly kawaii"
This has to be the cutest OAV from the entire shonen-ai/yaoi genere.

even die hard yaoi haters have been known to sit and giggle at Dee yelling at Bikky.

"Does this really happen in the NYPD?"
If you are looking for a new incredibly funny DVD then Fake was made for you. It is a story that touches on the subject of descrimination, but mainly centers around Dee's bizarre and comical love for Ryo, his partner in the NYPD. It is well drawn and the story is interesting, (as well as very very silly.) At first, it seems as if it is going to be just another city cop story with guns, but when Dee convinces his police chief to let him have the same vacation time as Ryo, the fact that they are police is almost lost. Fake features murder, ghosts, hatred, jealousy, bets, gay love, and all that good stuff. The opening theme is memorable and cute as well. I would recommend this OAV to anybody who is a fan of anime, even if you are not a fan of YAOI. Most of it is done in good humor, (but if that's not your thing just close your eyes at the icky parts. ^.~)

"A Very Well Done Anime"
I recommend this anime to all people who are okay with the gay lifestyle. This anime is very well done and I wish that more were made. The characters are hilarious and there is an interesting plot line. All of my friends who have seen it, even those who do not watch anime, have enjoyed this one. I am glad that I bought this DVD and feel that it is worth the money I paid. You are missing a good thing if you do not buy this anime.
