From Description
Ryu must undertake the ultimate journey of self-discovery and learn to control the force threatening to consume him. But with his confidence waning, will he have what it takes to confront Akuma, the vicious master of the Dark Hadou himself? Find out as allies old and new join forces against a sinister new threat in the pulse-pounding sequel to the phenomenally popular "Street Fighter II: V" series.

"crappy movie. period."
for a hard core street fighter fan like me i can easily say that this movie is bull****.go check out the movie or 2v and you will see the difference.shame on u manga.

"Check StreetFighter V"
Any one who gives this a 5 their expectations of streetfighter is very low. This barely approaches what streetfighter should be. The story is good the voice acting is well done but it feels like it was missing alot. The addition of Akuma, and Ryu not being able to fight him because of the difference between their skills is cool, because it leaves a new story wide open for a future release. But the ken and ryu fight is something that should epic. Not 10 seconds of unseen fighting and just sounds. The same is said for the other battles where most of the alpha characters got little to no screen time. The apperance of Ryu's brother and where the story went was well pulled off, so I can't agree with other reviewers sayin that was stupid, but I can agree with them saying this was lacking. I give this a 3 just because its streetfighter and I'm a decade and a half long time fan. But this was a disappointment.

"This movie is great if you have no previous knowledge of Street Fighter"
This movie left me impressed & disappointed. It revealed something about Ryu, but the story itself was confusing. I've been a Street Fighter fan since '88, and problem is that "they" keep changing the story. It's like some one at Capcom can't stay the story line that was given previously. If you've played the game and watched the other animes, you will notice that they are almost completely different, Nothing is clear about the characters' background or their reason for fighting. If you like Street Fighter, this movie is for you, but if your a hardcore fan who likes a story with some foundation, then watch this just to watch, because you'll be a tad dissapointment.

"Missing time,and big holes"
I had some high expectations waiting to see this movie. The plot makes no sense, the quote "Big Brother" got very iritating, very quick.I know it is a prequel to SF2,but come on!The animation was great up to a point, how many times must we see Chun Li's crotch and ass?Akuma may as well not have even been in the film.
What the hell is up with Shun?..this little aggrevating kid did not need to be in this movie.A better story could really have been done.I love Street Fighter, but this was a poor excuse for a movie. The animation from SF2 The Animated Movie (Group Tac)was 100 times better than this one.I hope Capcom does something better than this one,...

"Insipid and poorly done Street Fighter film with no heart or soul"
Hey here's an example of a movie so poorly written, so poorly concived it makes that 'Jean-Claude Van Dam' live action film look really really good.

How is that possible you ask?

Easy, when it's Street Fighter Alpha.

The story? Hard to say... something about clones, a wannabe Ryu's younger brother, and Mr. "will appear in almost any Capcom game for food" Akuma (Gouki if you know more about the Japanese series of games).

The only bright spot on a rather gloomy feature? Sakura. That's right, Sakura. While most of the cast is bring the gloom, she brings the fun and most of her scenes show this with gusto. But sadly even she couldn't save the movie.

The acting is to say the least, fair. For the most part; it is pretty much believable but then again it's not the acting that ruins the film but the script itself.

The characters? We get Ryu and Ken (Duh!), Sakura(awsome), Rose (who is as far removed as you can get from her video game persona), and a whole bunch of alpha characters who got the short end of the stick.

Where's Bison you ask? Playing the invisible man: yep he was cut out of the story altogether. Shame that really.

Want some anime SF, go watch the movie or the SF2V (just don't expect too much from the ending of that). As for alpha, better look elsewhere (I just wish I did).
