 "How to get a corrected copy of Ghost In the Shell2!"Attention! There is now a way to get a corrected version of this movie. As noted the subtitles for this movie are for the hearing impared only, and not a standard translation for the movie. There is now a NO COST TO THE PURCHASER way to get a correct version of this film.1. Go to www.gofishpictures.com. 2. Click on the Ghost In the Shell link. 3. Where it says, for DVD features, news, and trailers. ENTER HERE, click on that link. You will come to a screen with thirteen links on it, click on THE DVD. 4. Where it says Questions about your DVD? Click here. Click on it. A screen will then pop up on how to receive your free mailer in the mail. Just fill in the information (adress, e-mail, that kind of stuff), then they will send you the pre-postage paid mailer(says it could be up to two weeks). Put the disc in the envelope and send it back to them, then they will send you a corrected subtitled copy of the movie. By the way I liked the movie!  "A glorious tale of humanity continues"While other reviewers feel the need to flame the DVD, I'd rather discuss the movie. I hope you'll find that helpful. No, there is no English language option. Nor should there be. The tanslators and voice actors would only mess it up. No, there aren't a lot of special features. Maybe those inclined to fifteen hours of featurettes should sell the DVD player and watch E! all day. Now, to discuss the movie. If you don't know Shirow, you should. He is a prolific writer and artist with a keen mind. His work has always focused on the problems we humans have with each other. The cyborgs (and mecha etc. etc.) are merely tools to point this out. You're out of luck if you're looking for some kind of cyborg movie. It's not about cyborgs. Not really. Shirow has a skill for shining light into the darkness of this terchnological jungle we're creating, and everything, from design to engineering, idea to technique, must be as original as it is realistic. :Innocence is a fabulous ride, with glorious effects and an immortal story. Do not miss it.  "English Companys shouldn't Release DVDS from Japan"Is it too much to ask for a Japaness Company to Release an Anime in the US, Dreamwork Rock but not when it come to Anime. I buy my DVD direct form Japan and it better and easier than waiting for the US company to catch up, LONG LIVE ANIME, oh and Initial D Fourth Stage is coming be ready. You saved me from buying the much bemoaned version of this amazing movie with captions instead of subtitles. This is what I got from DreamWorks Customer Service today: Thank you for contacting us regarding the subtitle options on our 'The Ghost in the Shell 2' DVD. DreamWorks Home Entertainment has announced a new version of the DVD that includes English language subtitles, indicated by 'V4' printed on the package spine. The new version will gradually reach retail stores. If you have purchased the original version and are not satisfied with the subtitle options, please visit the 'Ghost in the Shell 2' website at http://www.gofishpictures.com/GITS2/main.html for information on receiving a replacement. We appreciate your patronage and hope that you will continue to enjoy Dreamworks releases. "the Subtitle Issue"I understand how people can be upset about the closed captions. Yet I have found out that Dreamworks(Go fishing?) is doing something about it. They have released a newer version of the DVD that has the proper subtitles on it(will apparently say V4 on the spine of the DVD case) Also for those who are unstaisfied with their copy please go to the official ghost in the shell 2 website. select the DVD and click on "questions about my dvd?" this will give you all the information you need inorder to obtain a replacement DVD. I hope this is something more people will be satisfied with |
